Starting as a self-driven project, I set out to make a comic book, something I’d wanted to do properly to completion since I was a kid. I hand printed, cropped, and bound over 100 copies. It was a good way to improve my illustration, layout, and project management skills. It’s 24 pages long and chock-full of action and laughs! Contact me if you’d like a copy.

Initial Steps

I started by planning, researching comics and the writing process, and writing the comic.

I then did a rough sketch of each page to figure out where everything would live on the page and to provide a fun flow for the reader.

Inking

I redrew all the pages more deliberately and on bigger paper. Then I inked them! The only things missing at this point are some of the large fill areas and all the type, which was added digitally.
